As we journey to reclaim the theology of the Cross; we must first ascertain how it became lost. Getting lost happens when we do not have the right directions. Either we were given the wrong instructions intentionally, or we ignored them all together.

We live and minister in an ant-doctrinal age or, at least, and age that thinks it's anti-doctrinal. We live and minister in an anti-theological, or at least it claims to be anti-theological. A Threefold Discussion

First, I want to argue that the very ideas of doctrine, theology, and systematic theology are under great duress in our time.(Duncan, p18)
